ClimAlign Partners with Stantec to Support Türkiye’s Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings Project

October 2025 — ClimAlign is proud to announce its partnership with Stantec in delivering the “Consultancy for Data Analysis and Measurement and Verification” assignment under the Türkiye Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings Project (EEPB), implemented by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUCC) and financed by the World Bank.

The EEPB Project supports the Government of Türkiye’s efforts to improve the energy performance of central government buildings—such as schools, hospitals, dormitories, and administrative offices—across the country. The initiative aims to reduce energy use, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and establish a scalable model for nationwide energy efficiency investments in public infrastructure.

Under this assignment, Stantec and ClimAlign provide technical expertise to the General Directorate of Construction Affairs (GDCA) to strengthen the project’s monitoring, data management, and verification systems. The consultancy focuses on helping the GDCA analyze, track, and verify the results of hundreds of building renovation projects, ensuring that real energy savings are measured, validated, and incorporated into future investment planning.

As part of the project, ClimAlign contributes to:

  • Developing and implementing data input and tracking systems to monitor renovation results across various public building complexes.
  • Conducting comprehensive portfolio analyses of energy savings, renewable energy generation, and emissions reduction.
  • Performing measurement and verification (M&V) analyses and reviews to validate achieved energy savings in alignment with IPMVP (International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol) standards.
  • Providing independent technical reviews of selected flagship projects, such as the renovation of Boğaziçi University’s Hisar and Kuzey campuses.

This collaboration brings together Stantec’s international experience in energy and infrastructure projects with ClimAlign’s expertise in data-driven climate solutions, M&V methodologies, and performance-based energy management.

Through this work, ClimAlign continues to contribute to global efforts aimed at decarbonizing public infrastructure, improving resource efficiency, and creating sustainable pathways for climate-aligned development.
