The project focused on enhancing the energy efficiency and sustainability performance of Yuria Pharm’s production facilities in Uzbekistan, supporting the company’s goal of aligning with international green building standards. The assignment combined detailed technical assessments with design advisory services to improve resource efficiency and integrate sustainable practices into both existing and planned operations.

Key project activities included:

  • Energy Audits of Existing Facilities: Comprehensive audits were carried out to assess current energy consumption and identify technically and financially feasible resource efficiency measures across production and utility systems,
  • Design Review for New Facilities: The design of the new production complex was evaluated to ensure integration of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable building principles at an early stage,
  • EDGE Certification Support: A pre-assessment for EDGE certification was performed during the concept design phase to determine the design and management requirements necessary for achieving certification, including estimated incremental construction costs,
  • Efficiency and Circular Economy Measures: The project identified opportunities to enhance efficiency in compressed air, process heating and cooling, and electricity distribution systems, while promoting circular economy approaches and reducing the overall carbon footprint of the facility, 

Overall, the project delivered a comprehensive roadmap for energy-efficient and low-carbon production, contributing to the wider adoption of green building and sustainable manufacturing practices in Uzbekistan’s industrial sector.
