Arup is commissioned by INDITEX to support the company’s global decarbonization and sustainability targets through the implementation of a comprehensive energy audit programme across its international supplier network. The programme assesses energy performance at supplier manufacturing facilities, identifies efficiency improvement opportunities, and delivers tailored decarbonization roadmaps aimed at achieving measurable reductions in greenhouse gas emissions throughout the supply chain.

Within the Türkiye Cluster, Arup acts as the Technical Lead, providing strategic oversight and coordination of all energy assessments conducted at supplier factories across the region. The company ensures the consistent application of the programme’s standardized methodology, maintains quality control over all technical deliverables, and supervises the work of both internal teams and local sub-consultants.

Key activities include:

• Managing and reviewing detailed energy audits covering production processes, utilities, and building systems;
• Developing factory-specific decarbonization plans with prioritized efficiency and renewable energy measures;
• Conducting cross-cluster report reviews to ensure methodological consistency and technical robustness;
• Coordinating with INDITEX’s regional coordination teams to align audit outcomes with corporate carbon reduction strategies;
• Participating in technical steering and progress meetings to report on audit findings, implementation challenges, and best practices.
